Pistol Home Defense Course, Sun. 9-5

Overview:  This is an 8 hour course covering pistol safety, accuracy, reloads, malfunctions, winning a deadly encounter, and a family safety plan on what to do following the deadly encounter.

The Pistol Home Defense Course was designed to make the student a more accurate shooter, identify what to do immediately following a deadly force encounter, and how to develop a family safety plan in the event of a deadly force encounter.  If there is no prior planning then no one knows how we will react.  Having a family plan is invaluable because you need to think and discuss how you will keep children and other family members safe until police arrive.  Without a plan it is impossible to know how we will react or how our family will react.  We assist in making a plan for what to do immediately following an encounter.  Things to consider: the police do not just show up, what are you going to do in the time it takes for them to arrive?  How are they going to be notified?  Where are your other family members in the residence?  In this course you will not only become a more confident shooter but you will be better prepared to keep you and your family safe in the moments after you win the deadly encounter.

Pre-requisite:  The Pistol Training Course is a pre-requisite for this course.

Supplies to bring:  Semi-auto pistol, 300 rounds of factory ammunition, a sack lunch, and water.  Electronic hearing protection and safety glasses will be provided if needed.
